Donovan L. Cooper (Don)

Shortly after earning his MBA in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Don entered the insurance business. When the Proposed Section 125 Regulations were published in 1986, Don recognized the value of Flexible Benefits

Planning. Between 1987 and 1994 Don worked extensively with the Employer’s Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC) serving on their Cafeteria Plan Advisors Council (CPAC) Ethics Committee (1987-94) and Executive Committee (1991-93).

In 2003, Don and his wife Sandie founded TRIFLEX Corporation to provide group brokers and financial planners 1) plan design and technical support services, 2) voluntary and core benefit enrollment services and 3) CE approved courses and workshops.

Don has spoken on Benefit Plan Design and Strategies throughout the nation and is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). He has served as the San Diego Chapters Board of Directors as VP of Programs, PAC and is the current VP of Professional Development for the San Diego Chapter.

Sandra L. Cooper (Sandie)

Vice President brings 28 years of sales and management experience to TRIFLEX. Since 2000, Sandie has focused her efforts on benefits communication, training, enrollment and case management for broker clients. She has extensive job related benefits experience and attends numerous seminars each year on Section 125, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA and other benefits related issues. She has managed the enrollment of benefit plans in a broad variety of industries and brings strong people and training skills to TRIFLEX. Sandra is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters.
